The average increase for letter and parcel delivery is 6.8%. This follows an 8% rise in 2024.
The price for sending a standard letter within France has risen by 8% from €1.29 to €1.39.
For registered mail, sending a 20g letter has increased from €5.36 to €5.74 (+7%), while an international letter will cost €2.10 instead of €1.96 (+7.1%).
Parcel shipping prices through Colissimo have also risen by an average of 5.2%. To send a 2kg parcel to Europe or the UK will now cost €20.90. One being sent to the USA will cost €45.20. Prices for Chronopost, the express delivery service, have remained the same.
In addition, for those sending or receiving parcels outside of Europe there are often customs charges to pay.
According to La Poste, "These changes ensure the sustainability of the universal postal service with high quality in a context of inflation and falling mail volumes".
